So you have a sinus infection and still considering running, but is this a good idea?

We often get this question from our readers asking if it is advisable to go out for a run when one is suffering from cold with soar throat or sinus infection.

While many runners says it is ok to run even when one is suffering from cold or sinus infection, the medical practitioners advises these runners not to do so.

Even though running outside when you are suffering from cold can give you the much required moral boost and refresh your mind, the doctors still advise the runners not to go out for a run during these times.

In fact the doctors advise these runners not to go out for a run for as long as 72 hours, or in other words 3 whole days before things improve any better. Doctors warn that ignoring any sort of infections such as that of sinus infection could result in an escalation in their health condition during these periods of time and hence it is best advised not to take any such risk on one's own body health.
