Not many people may have encountered this issue, but on Android smartphones, sometimes users have seen message on their smartphone that reads "Charging Paused Battery Temperature Too Low".
Lithium Ion batteries used in any smartphones be it Android based smartphone or the Apple iPhone or any other mobile phones operate at a specific temperature range that lies between 5C to 45C degrees. If you try to operate or charge your smartphone anywhere outside this temperature range, the thermistor built into these smartphones will kick in and notify the Android OS or any relevant smartphone operating system of this outbound temperature usage.
In case of Android OS, the operating system will immediately stop the charging activity on this smartphone and display a notification message that reads "Charging Paused. Battery Temperature Too Low".
If you encounter a similar message on your smartphone, then the possibility is that you are trying to charge your smartphone in an area with an extremely low temperature range. In such a case, the only option to overcome this issue is to move your smartphone to an area where the temperature is above 5C.
On the other hand, if you are living and working in an area that is pretty normal and definitely above 5C and below 45C but still see this alert message, then the chances are that the thermistor built inside your smartphone has gone bad and may need a replacement.
Depending on your smartphone brand and make, the type of thermistor used and its cost will also vary, so you will need to check on your smartphone specific technical specification manual and identify the appropriate part that can solve this issue.
Hope this information helps someone out there who have encountered a similar "Charging Paused Battery Temperature Too Low" error message on their screen when trying to recharge their smartphones.
